NDPiD organises a town hall meeting focusing on issues confronting the Niger Delta. The meeting attracted various sons and daughters of the Niger Delta from different parts of the world: – Nigerian environmental and human rights activist Annkio Briggs; former President Ijaw Peoples Association Mr Rowland Ekperi; Mr MacDonald I J Mopho, a lawyer and author; former President Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Engr Udengs Eradiri, amongst many others from around the globe).

The meeting featured the recent spate of killings and kidnappings by armed Fulani herdsmen, oil spillages and resulting environmental pollution which has lasted over the last 60 years among many others, and the suggested ways to end these problems.
